"CAFE SOCIETY"-
Price, Bonds and the music of Tin Pan Alley

Students from Cornell University's Jazz and Vocal Studies Programs perform unpublished works of Price and Bonds, written for 1940s Tin Pan Alley. Join us for this homage to Café Society. Dubbed "The Wrong Place for the Right People," Café Society was  the first racially integrated night club in the United States.

In 1967, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley named January 31 the city's official "Margaret Bonds Day." ONEcomposer is celebrating Margaret Bonds day, on January 31, 2022 with an all-day Margaret Bonds Marathon on social media platforms. We will offer recorded performances, interviews, and live appearances by special guests, and we need your help!
